Credits for Thesis Research

There is one form for Thesis Credits, Research Credits, and Project Credits.

You need to register for Thesis Credits at the 9000 Level if you are going to use these credits towards a doctoral degree. This should be done by registering for either the course MATH 9990 or MATP 9990, called Doctor's Thesis (see the directions), AND by submitting the Thesis/Project/Research Registration Form. This should be submitted, signed by your advisor, to the Graduate Student Coordinator.

The form will then be sent to the Registrar for processing. As with all forms it is a good idea for you to retain a copy for your own records.

Note that the same form is also used for registering for a Master's Project.

Although the form also allows one to register for Research Credits (that are not counted towards one's thesis) this is not used in the Math Sciences Department.
